The Norwich BioScience Conference Facilities are striking, impressive, high specification and modern. We offer premier conference facilities situated within the John Innes Centre and the Institute of Food Research, including two lecture theatres, open plan foyers and a series of seminar and meeting rooms. What ever the occasion we can provide an attractive venue, licensed for the sale of alcohol and entertainment. We can also arrange marquees for external events upon request. We can accomodate out of hours and weekend bookings, please contact us for availability and prices.

Auditorium

The Auditorium seats up to 320 delegates in tiered seating, providing an uninterrupted view of the stage and screen from every seat. The first row of seats can easily be removed to accommodate wheelchairs. This impressive lecture theatre has excellent acoustics and is equipped with sound reinforcement and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. The Auditorium also benefits from air conditioning, black out facilities and an induction loop hearing system.

Mini Theatre

The mini theatre seats up to 126 delegates in tiered seating and is equipped with a fixed lectern, multimedia projector, DVD & Video projection, stereo sound & induction hearing loop. The Mini Theatre is located on the ground floor, has wheelchair access and is air conditioned.

Large Foyer

The Large Foyer is fitted with display facilities for exhibitions and has closed circuit televisions linked to the Auditorium so delegates can monitor event proceedings. This large, light, airy, versatile space has a reception desk and level access to the Auditorium, Seminar rooms, cloakroom and toilet facilities.

Small Foyer

The Small Foyer is fitted with display facilities for exhibitions. It has a reception desk and access to the Mini Theatre, cloakroom and toilet facilities. Like the Large Foyer this area also has the added benefit of a closed circuit television for delegates to monitor event proceedings.

Gallery

The Gallery is located on the first floor and provides an interesting and relaxing venue for receptions and networking events. This area is fitted with display facilities for exhibitions and has access to the Auditorium and Large Foyer. Please note there is no lift access to this facility.

Seminar and Meeting Rooms

There is a choice for four seminar rooms, each equipped with an LCD projector, white boards, 35mm and overhead projectors. The rooms can be set up in various layouts, seating between 25 and 55 delegates. Rooms can also be opened up to create a larger facility accommodating up to 80 people.

We also have a smaller meeting room which accomodates up to 20 people. This room is equiped with standard AV equipment.

Each room comes with a selection of Av equipment and can be set up in various layouts to meet your requirements
